Enhancing Acoustic Comfort for Homes Around Gatwick.
S&K Glazing Limited was appointed to support the Gatwick Airport Noise Insulation Scheme, a community-focused initiative under Gatwick’s ongoing Reducing Noise Programme.
The scheme offers eligible homeowners and residents free or subsidized noise insulation improvements, helping reduce the impact of aircraft operations.
As part of this program, our glazing specialists delivered surveys, fabrication, and installation of advanced acoustic glazing systems across multiple residential sites surrounding the airport.
All work was completed under Gatwick’s framework requirements, ensuring full acoustic performance compliance, thermal efficiency, and resident satisfaction..
Used where the existing primary windows remain in place (often for listed or conservation properties).
Secondary glazing forms an internal acoustic barrier, delivering outstanding noise reduction.
Available Types:
Horizontal Sliders – ideal for casement or wide windows
Vertical Sliders – for sash and heritage window styles
Hinged Units – easy cleaning and full access to outer windows
Lift-Out Panels – removable option for limited-access areas
Fixed Units – permanent acoustic screens for non-opening windows
